PLANTA OCUMARE
At the end of 2000, at the doorstep of a new millennium, C.A. Ponche Crema, Sucesora de Eliodoro González P. Sucesores, with one century in the Venezuelan liquor market, acquires from United Distillers and Vintners their manufacturing installations as well as prominent national brands in various product categories.
The plant at Ocumare del Tuy, formerly Planta Pampero, represents one of the most important plants in the country, and without a doubt, the biggest one in the liquor sector. It has an area of 32 hectares and it is located at Ocumare del Tuy, Miranda State, only 45 minutes from Caracas.
In its ample and modern manufacturing installations, there are five automatized filling and bottling lines, as well as large deposits for finished products, raw products and packing material.
From the technological viewpoint, the most relevant elements are its modern quality control laboratory, an area for totally computerized operations and advanced systems of industrial security.
In this plant, the whole range of products in our national portfolio is produced. The portfolio includes wines, rums and whisky liquors with a production capacity of 3.25 million boxes a year in a work shift.
PLANTA LA YAGUARA
1946 marks the beginning of the modern era of Ponche Crema, with the first industrial plant in Antímano. There, the most sophisticated machinery and equipment available are installed. In 1995, the filling lines and manufacturing areas are modernized and expanded using high technology that allows us to attend the growing market demand efficiently.
Planta La Yaguara, as it is known today, has continued its modernization process, reaching a bottling capacity of 800,000 boxes a year, with large deposits for finished products, raw materials and packing materials. In addition, there is a Quality Control Department that jealously oversees quality and faithfulness to the original formula of our most valued product: “Ponche Crema.”
